Japantag 2009
Von badmanvegeta, 16.06.2009, 22:20

the japanese day is an event with more or less over two thousend people celebrating it every year. i visited the japanese day in düsseldorf on saturday the 13th.

manga means " moving picture" and it has a long history. anime is - like the name sais- the animated version of manga. ( no comic, like batman, spiderman, silver surfer ...) people used to mix that up. mangaka in japanese are very famous people, very high aprecciated. akira toriyama, who i do very much admire, and who created dragonball, is one of them.  you´ll see photographies here, where people are "cosplaying" their favourite anime characters, by slipping into mostly selfmade costumes.

very creative and some with much fanlove seeable.

cosplayer and anime fans aren´t automatically japanese fans but it is a not bad effect, that people want to know more about the birthplace of the country of anime and manga.there are huge platforms in the internet and since the internet exist, a big wave started, pointing to europe. just google "anime manga or cosplay" and you´ll see what i mean with that.

i do love at japan the two different faces, as the quite religious side with a lot of wisdom, philosophy, history, religion and tradition behind it; the wonderful painting alike landscapes, and than, on the other side is the the rushing, pulsing town full of people and high technology. the food is artistically and very tasty if one likes that direction of food. the tea ceremony is a good example, too. it´s an almost shizophrenically island with it´s karaoke bars, sexualy exspecialtilities ( hentai, yaoi, yuri, shota and lollicon ) and the whole culture and everything what japanese is about, is very interesting.

the nature mights, like taifunes and earthquakes, are very intensive there. if one knows that, it´s incredible to find connections to the japanese live and kulture, their polution and surroundings.  a very proud, beautiful, interesting land.

the japanese day was great and the programme very nice. the people were involved in the programme and it doesn´t rain at all. really very good, and i am looking forward next year with pleasure. here are the photographies, i´ve made. they´re showing cosplayers, programmepoints, and the düsseldorfer town.

here is also the official link to the already past japanese day.
